Courageous Journey’s is my passion project dedicated to assisting individuals and communities in preparing for end-of-life. As a Death Doula, I create and hold space, conduct informative gatherings, and lead ceremonies to educate and guide others on their journey of integrating death as a part of life.
A death doula, also known as an end-of-life doula or death midwife, is a nonmedical trained professional who provides emotional, spiritual, and practical support to individuals and their families nearing the end of life. Their role is to offer guidance and companionship throughout the dying process, aiming to create a more peaceful and meaningful transition.
My purpose as a Death Doula is to empower individuals and families, bringing compassion, presence, and ceremony to the space of death, dying, and grief.
I organize a variety of educational tea parties focused on the important and often overlooked topics of death and dying. These events offer a safe and supportive space for open dialogue and learning. Examples of my offerings include:
- Creating Your Own Funeral
- Green Burials
- How to Nurture Your Grief
- And more
To stay informed about upcoming gatherings, please check the calendar at the bottom of the homepage. Each event listing includes a detailed description, location, and pricing information to help you plan ahead.
Death nesting is a practice focused on creating a peaceful and supportive environment for your transition. As a death doula, I listen to your needs, desires, and wishes to help you and your family create a space that honors your journey.
I also offer the role of a **Death Nest Guardian**, where I can sit with you when your family is unavailable, providing comfort and presence during this deeply personal time.
Death nesting extends beyond the physical space; I am here to support you emotionally and spiritually as you navigate this transition. Together, we can work with your family to thoughtfully address the distribution of personal belongings, plan meaningful goodbyes, and honor your legacy in ways that feel right to you.
My role is to help ensure that your wishes are respected, and that you and your loved ones are supported in this profound and important journey.
It is my belief that we have lost touch with ceremony and ritual. These practices are important; they serve as rites of passage and provide a cleansing for our spirits. I have taken the time to craft meditations and ceremonies, and gatherings to help people honor their lives, their deaths, and their grief.
Please check the calendar on the homepage for information on upcoming events, locations, and pricing.
